The resort is located in the park zone of Odesa, on the very shore of the Black Sea. There is a perfect sandy beach with a sloping entrance to the water a hundred meters from Horkyi Health Resort. And own territory of resort represented by eight hectares of supervised green park.

V.Chkalov Specialized Clinical Sanatorium
Specialization: patients with skin diseases, cancer, diseases of the nervous system and cardiovascular system and associated diseases.

Accommodation: there are comfortable rooms for 2-4 people with all facilities, all categories of rooms, spacious halls, concert hall for up to 320 people, dance floor and library.
The sanatorium is located in a lovely green park in the recreation district of Odesa – 16th station of the Big Fountain, on the first coastline, next to the recently restored waterfront promenade. It’s located right over one of the most developed sandy beaches of Odesa – “Golden Shore”.
Truly favorable environmental conditions: extremely successful reconciliation of the sea and steppe climate and warm Black Sea created special popularity of the resort. The climate is seaside with elements of the steppe. The average annual temperature is + 9.7 °С, relative humidity 75%, summer is hot (in July 30 °С), winter is soft (in January – 5 °С). The sea bathing season continue from early May to the end of September.
Medical-psychological rehabilitation is carried out by psychotherapists, psychophysiologists and psychologists. The therapeutic composition of the sanatorium includes the mud of Kuyalnik balneological spa.

The Odesa Regional Clinical Oncology Center is a specialized tertiary-level oncology medical institution with 550 inpatient beds and a consultative outpatient clinic. It provides medical care to patients with suspected or confirmed oncological diseases.
Each year, more than 110,000 patients are examined and over 29,500 treated at the center (19,000 inpatients and 10,000 outpatients) — residents of Odesa, the Odesa region, other Ukrainian regions, and several foreign countries. The center employs 867 staff members, including 178 physicians (55% of whom hold the highest qualification category, 7% the first, 8% the second, and 18% are specialists).
Among them are 9 Honored Doctors of Ukraine, 2 Doctors of Science, 14 Candidates of Medical Sciences, and 77 physicians with the highest professional category. The structure of the Odesa Oncology Center includes 19 specialized treatment and diagnostic departments equipped with all necessary medical technology for oncology care, an outpatient diagnostic unit, an anesthesiology department with intensive care units, and an information-analytical department with a cancer registry. The Center operates 550 inpatient beds in total, including 320 surgical oncology beds, 80 in the chemotherapy unit, and 80 in the radiology department.

The Janusz Korczak Institute for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Psychophysical Disabilities (hereinafter referred to as “the Institute”) is a non-profit charitable organization. The Institute was established in 1989 by the Odesa Social Assistance Fund named after Dr. Friedrich Haass. In 1999, it was re-registered as a charitable organization founded by parents of children with disabilities and professional specialists.
The Institute was named after Janusz Korczak as a symbol of the inheritance of humanistic principles in treating children and respecting their individuality — values that were not merely ideology but the foundation of everyday practice for this outstanding Polish educator, physician, and social activist. The name also serves to honor his memory and his heroic sacrifice for children.
Main activities:
– Providing psychological, medical, and pedagogical assistance to persons with special needs of all age groups through the rehabilitation center’s departments.
– Participating in human rights advocacy jointly with the All-Ukrainian NGO “Coalition for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Intellectual Disabilities”.
– Developing and publishing methodological materials, organizing thematic seminars on rehabilitation issues, legal and legislative frameworks in this field, and protecting the rights of persons with disabilities and their families for various population groups: professionals (in the fields of education, medicine, and social work), civil servants, parents, and family members of persons with disabilities.
– Expanding the network of rehabilitation structures for persons with psychophysical disabilities in Odesa and the region by seeking funding, lobbying their interests at the municipal level, and directly participating in the establishment of such facilities (reconstruction, renovation, equipment, staff training). With the Institute’s support, rehabilitation centers, early intervention centers, and vocational training centers have been established in the cities of Kotovsk, Bolhrad, Reni, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, and other district centers of Odesa region.
