All-Ukrainian Tourism Exhibition “ZT-Expo”
The tourism potential is presented not only by the cities, districts and amalgamated territorial communities of the Zhytomyr Region, but also by 20 regions of Ukraine, the press service of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration reports. First and foremost, it will be of interest to those who have not yet planned their vacation, allowing them to choose an engaging route through the lesser-known corners of their native land.
Deruny Day (Korosten)
It is no coincidence that such an event was established precisely in the Capital of the Drevlians Region. Since ancient times, these lands have been rich in potato harvests, and the local population knows firsthand all the recipes for preparing what has now become the national Korosten dish — deruny. Today, a large number of tourists from Ukraine and other countries come here to celebrate Deruny Day in Korosten together. Every year, Deruny Day in Korosten delights its guests with traditional contests and entertainment, exhibitions, and performances by creative groups. Guests ceremonially join the Club of Deruny Lovers, participate in the deruny-eating competition, learn to cook deruny at the Master Class led by the mayor, and so on. The traditional School of Deruny Craft operates as well.
Balzak Fest.
The festival is dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding French writer. It is held annually in the village of Verkhivnia, where the Hansky estate is located, in which Balzac lived for some time together with his wife.
Kupalski Rosy
Everyone who finds an opportunity to come to Nemyrintsi is invited to this celebration of songs, rituals and spectacles. Participants of the event will have the opportunity to see with their own eyes how the pre-Christian traditions of Ukrainians are being revived. Ritual songs, dances, fortune-telling with flower wreaths, jumping over bonfires, and a fire show will allow participants to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of mystery and magic. And in addition — an unforgettable air show, children’s entertainment, and performers whose songs “touch the soul”.
Pisennyi Spas
An international song festival.
