Project “Wine and Taste Route of Ukrainian Besarabia”

The Wine and Taste Route of Ukrainian Bessarabia is a system of organized wine and gastronomy routes that provides unified signage and a shared visual identity for natural sites, historical and cultural landmarks, and other tourist attractions. The routes connect locations where local, traditional, and indigenous food products are produced, including products bearing designations of origin, also known as geographical indications, within the region of Ukrainian Bessarabia. The system also integrates leisure and recreation facilities, dining establishments, hotels and other temporary accommodation providers, as well as additional venues that offer wine and gastronomy services. Furthermore, the project establishes a structured knowledge framework concerning logistics and other essential aspects required for the development of wine and gastronomy routes within the designated area.
The project brings together local wine producers and makers of traditional food products who provide wine and gastronomy tourism services at their own premises. These participants are united within a single, coherent network of tourism and recreational wine and gastronomy routes extending across the territory of Ukrainian Bessarabia in the Odesa Region.
The project was implemented with the support of the European Union project “Support to the Development of the Geographical Indications System in Ukraine.”
